About us
Founded in Melbourne in 2013, Tzofim Australia is the Australian branch of the Israeli Scouts (Tzofim), the world's largest Israeli youth movement. Today, with Shevatim across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, we provide Hebrew-speaking Jewish children and teens with a place to connect, grow and lead.
Our programs combine Israeli-style informal education, leadership development, outdoor experiences and lifelong friendships in a welcoming Hebrew-speaking environment. Through weekly activities and year-round events, we help young people strengthen their Jewish-Israeli-Australian identity, develop a meaningful connection to Israel, and become confident leaders within their communities.

Families choose Tzofim because it offers much more than a youth movement. It provides children with a supportive community where they can speak Hebrew, make lifelong friends, develop confidence, and build leadership skills through meaningful experiences. At the same time, parents become part of a connected network of Israeli and Jewish families across Australia, creating a strong sense of belonging both for children and adults.

We are affiliated with the Australian Zionist Youth Council (AZYC), accredited by the Australian Childhood Foundation, and operate in accordance with Australian child safety standards and Mental Health First Aid guidelines.
