Shevet Oz in Brisbane - Join Us!
Shevet Oz is a new branch established to meet the community's demand for an Israeli youth movement.
Opening a Shevet in Brisbane allows us to develop local leadership, have equipment for scouting activities like building fire-signs and structures from ropes and wood, go on nature trips, join camps and meet Hebrew-speaking children from other "Shevet"s in Australia.
The Brisbane branch of the Israeli Scouts is offering activities for ages 8 and up, aimed at uniting children through fun activities that promote these values while embracing the unique spirit of the Israeli-Australian community.

Tzofim Australia (Israeli Scouts) is a movement dedicated to fostering a deep connection to Israel, focusing on environmental awareness, leadership, friendship, current events, and community values.
Our activities are conducted in Hebrew and integrate Israeli culture and tradition, scouting principles, and leadership development.
We aim to build a strong Jewish-Israeli-Australian identity and Zionist affiliation among our youth.

Join our Hebrew Sunday School:
At Brisbane Hebrew Sunday School, students will embark on an immersive educational journey.
Beyond mastering Hebrew letters, reading, and writing, our students will dive into the rich heritage of Jewish holidays, culture, history, and geography. Our classes are designed to be interactive, with workshops that are not only educational, but also engaging and enjoyable - fostering a deep connection between our students and their heritage.
A Year-long journey of growth, learning, and community:
The Brisbane Bar/Bat Mitzvah Program is a meaningful, year-long experience designed to guide 12 and 13-year-olds through their transition into Jewish adulthood. Through monthly sessions, interactive learning, and community involvement, participants will explore the responsibilities of Jewish life, connect with other Jewish kids, and gain a deeper understanding of their identity, heritage, and role in the wider community.*Note: activities are designed for school-aged children from Year 3 to Year 12, giving them a taste of the Israeli youth movement through a mix of non-formal indoor and outdoor activities.

As part of our ongoing commitment to connect with Jewish families throughout Brisbane, we regularly visit communities across the north, southeast, west, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast.
Throughout the year, we set aside special days to meet new families, strengthen community bonds, and share the values of the Israeli Scouts - Hebrew, scouting skills, nature, teamwork, and leadership.
To make these visits meaningful and accessible, we’re always looking for community‑run locations that include both an outdoor area and an indoor space.
