We're thrilled to invite you to join our new Shevet of Tzofim, Shevet Hofim (שבט חופים), located in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney. It's the newest branch of Ha’Tzofim Australia. Our Shevet commenced activities in February 2023, and soon after, our children chose its name, "Hofim" (Beaches), symbolising the eastern side of Sydney. A few months later, our beautiful logo was imagined and brought to life by two of the Shevet parents, Tal Adler-Levi and Moshe (Mosh) Almani. We're situated in the heart of the east at the stunning Randwick Sustainability Hub, Adamama, the first Urban Jewish Educational Farm in Australia.
Our Tzofim activities cater to school-aged children from years 3 to 12, providing them with a taste of the Israeli youth movement through non-formal indoor and outdoor activities. All our activities are conducted in Hebrew and are infused with Israeli culture and tradition, scouting, and leadership development. Ha'Tzofim Australia is dedicated to connecting our members with their Israeli background and fostering a strong Jewish-Israeli-Australian identity and Zionist affiliation in our youth.
Our members enjoy weekly activities every Sunday during the school year, seminars, hikes, celebrating Jewish festivals, camps, camping, and more, ensuring a year filled with fun and enriching experiences.
Our Scouts guides/leaders (Madrichim) are Service Year Israeli emissaries, aka ShinShinim, Israeli high school graduates before their mandatory Israeli army service.
